I like end credits--it's a way to ease back into the real world (mostly because of the music). Occasionally a movie uses a song just for the closing credits (e.g. Amanda Bergman's cover of "Love Song" at the end of "All the Old Knives"--which is why I watched the movie in the first place).

Sometimes you pick up an interesting bit of information, like a character's name that's the same as someone else in the crew. The most interesting example is Robert Altman's "Images." The each of the four main actors and actresses has the same first name as a character played one of the other four actors / actresses, which is fitting for the theme of schizophrenia / illusion vs. reality.
