I have it from a good source (i.e. the Internet) that the cover illustration for Karen Koenig's book was designed by her cat itself (and that's not a tea cozy, it's a cat crown).

I can't find the quote, but I think Voltaire said (or should have said) something like "If spiders had a god, their god would be a spider."

If cats had a god, their god would wear a blue cat crown.
