I grew up in Georgia. I've shot possums (and I'm not proud for doing so).

The gun lovers have no intention to use their arms to hunt boar and deer. Only a tiny fraction have ever eaten venison, and even fewer have dined on wild boar, any more than I would have eaten the possums that I shot.

We're in fantasy land, as far as gun rights are concerned. You are not paranoid. They are out to get you (and me and everyone else--but Jews are a prime target, as are African-Americans, Hispanic Americans, and Muslims).

You were right to leave.

If you're wrong (overly paranoid) in such situations, what's the cost of leaving?

If you're right (accurately paranoid), what's the cost of staying?
