I don't know what the current SAG-AFTRA negotiating team is like, but during the 2007 strike, actors (and Justine Bateman in particular) stood up against AMPTP attempts to curtail profits to anyone (other than producers), specifically through not paying writers the equivalent of residual fees for streaming productions. In 2023, Bateman is still speaking out against the AMPTP's use of technology (in this case AI) to knee-cap writers.
I'm afraid that as in 2017 we can't expect much from the DGA.
