I did a little research in 2016 and was surprised to find that Goldman Sachs contributed the same amount to the Republican Senate Committee and the Democratic Senate Committee. This is not to say that there is no difference between the philosophies and agendas of the two parties, but that big money has nothing to do with contributing to the welfare of the nation--it's all about buying influence. We have to get money out of politics, including these requests for "small contributions" that fund crypto-fascists as much as they fund democratic socialists.
