I agree wholeheartedly with your premises / conclusions. But I think when we post an "X is the greatest" article, we're also asking "Why don't more people appreciate X?"

Obviously with a titan like Hendrix, Beck, Page, or Segovia, that question is unnecessary.

But for someone like Alan Holdsworth, John Fahey, Kaori Muraji, or Stevie Ray Vaughan, the question has more usefulness.
