How hard is it to do that? You just treat everyone the way you want to be treated, and if you fall short of that, you apologize, make amends, and try not to repeat the mistake. This is just the individual level of course — there’s still the group level to deal with (issues like white privilege, systemic racism, misinterpretation of history, etc.), but how often do we seek to be trustworthy even as individuals?
