Hard to narrow it down to 10. If forced to do so, I'd probably substitute Strangers on a Train and Sabotage for The Birds and Rebecca. And Shadow of a Doubt would be my top choice, though I admire the artistry of Vertigo. Also, I have a soft spot for Stage Fright because of the twist, but it's certainly not a top 10.

A bit of trivia: The Birds was adapted from a Daphne du Maurier short story, but most people don't know that du Maurier apparently stole the premise (nature attacks humans) from The Terror by Arthur Machen.
