Grace is a newish series from Russell Lewis, who is the creator of Endeavour (a prequel to the Inspector Morse series--for full impact, you should see at least some of the Morse shows first if you haven't; as a prequel, Endeavour is brilliant). Another British cop show that's as riveting as anything I've seen: Line of Duty.

Beck is an interesting Swedish policier based on the novels of Maj Sjöwall and Per Wahlöö.
