From the pov of the power-hungry idiots behind and in support of this lawsuit, there are only two positive outcomes:

(1) Set a precedent and hope that the other Republican opposition crumbles like a house of cards, so that state legislatures everywhere seek to overturn the results. If that doesn't work:

(2) Make Trump feel good (justify his claims that the election was stolen from him).

Either outcome will seriously hobble the country for decades, if not permanently.

Worst case scenario if the attempts all fail: the rabble will probably use the "steal" to justify random incidents of domestic terrorism.

An attempted civil war would be disastrous, but it would be preferable to the undermining of the nation from within.

We've got to remember and spotlight these scoundrels for the rest of their career (or beyond).
