Enjoyed this tribute immensely. I've always liked Neruda, but for modern Spanish poets, my heart belongs to Cesar Vallejo ( https://poems.com/poem/a-man-walks-by-with-a-stick-of-bread-on-his-shoulder/ ) and Miguel Hernandez ( https://poets.org/poem/lullaby-onion ), written from prison during the Spanish Civil War after receiving a letter from his wife that after giving birth to their son she had only onions to eat.
