During the 2016 primary and afterward, mainstream media wanted to understand the appeal of Donald Trump. At least several times (in what I read), people replied "Because he says what we think." That's pretty scary. Even scarier is the Boeberts, Greenes (my representative by the way), Gosars, etc. who have secured a place for themselves by saying out loud what their followers think.
