Did you play your 45's on a large spindle adapter that let you stack several singles at a time, or did you use those little inserts on each 45 that let you play them as individual songs?

On my earlier cheap turntable, and on our family's console, I used the large adapter. On my later manual turntables, I had to use the insert adapters.
