Cowgirl is a damn fine sendoff. I'd probably go with "Silent Crusade" by Gene Clark, partly for the lyrics (in the YouTube notes) and mostly for the way that Clark intones the word "situations," particularly the first time, starting at 3:03 (imo the greatest 7 seconds in recorded music--it captures all the pain that has ever been felt in the world).
