Could've knocked me over with a feather. Fine album and fascinating choice (I think "A Bigger Piece of the Sky" is my favorite of his, but it's a 90's work anyway). For me, Keen, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Billy Joe Shaver, and Steve Young redesigned what country music could do (I never got into Townes Van Zandt or Lyle Lovett, but they also changed the map). Adding Keen to an 80's playlist is a significant and wise choice.
During the 80's, I tended to stick with my 60's-70's favorites, so I missed out on a lot of music from other genres (I actually know all the artists but only about half of the specific albums). I'm retracing my steps, and your excellent list reminds me of some works I need to discover.
