Could you please help me with a question about Chinese (Taiwanese) popular music?
I'm preparing an article about music in languages with which the listener is unfamiliar (I'm certainly unfamiliar with Chinese), and I'd like to include a discussion of the songs in Chinese by the lateTaiwanese singer Koumis, whom I like very much. Typically, her songs in Chinese are original compositions and her songs in English are covers of American or British musicians. But this song (to my untrained ear) sounds like more traditional Chinese music. It could simply be a recent pop song, but I'm not able to search for the song or its author. Do you know if this is in fact a traditional song or a contemporary popular song (or some other category)? Thank you.
