Thank you for this detailed tribute. I was fortunate to discover Fahey on a PBS special decades ago and saw him in concert. You're absolutely right--not primitive at all (not that there's anything wrong with being a musical primitive).

Sligo River Blues is my favorite. Circular, trancelike, not complicated but complex.
