Bloomberg claims his merchandise is being sold at cost. If it costs the same as his competitions’ then either (1) theirs is being sold at close to cost as well, but they don’t see the need to glorify their decision; (2) the mug / t-shirt wholesalers are ripping Bloomberg off; the Bloomberg campaign is using a “creative” bookkeeping system. None of those possibilities bodes well for Bloomberg.
