Best tv show (I'm somewhat limited in what I see, but I'm darn passionate about it) would have to be the final season of Endeavour (imo the most ingenious series of all time). Will write about this one later.

Best single episode: the super bleak "Christmas" story on Vera ("The Rising Tide"). Will write about this one as well.
