As an aging boomer, I've been to a few concerts in stadiums way back then (Cream farewell tour, Ike and Tina Turner / ZZ Top). I was also fortunate to attend one of the great pop festivals, the first Atlanta Pop Festival (pre-Woodstock): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlanta_International_Pop_Festival
But the most memorable concerts were in auditoriums. (Jimi Hendrix / Soft Machine, several Kinks concerts before their "arena rock" phase, Stephane Grapelli, Count Basie / Sarah Vaughan, Captain Beefheart / Ry Coder) or smaller, more intimate venues (Hampton Grease Band, John Fahey e.g.).
If I were to return to live music in my sunset years, it would probably be at one of the small venues. But I wish the best for those artists and fans who are resurrecting stadium rock. It's a high point for anyone with integrity and taste.
