Actually I make enough profit (more like a stock dividend than a get-rich-device) to cover the cost of my membership. So I don't feel guilty paying for the opportunity / space to write, and thanks feedback I get from readers and thanks to Medium's algorithm, reward / payment being tied to quality and originality, I'm doubly certain that I'm creating a better Internet.

Incidentally, I've been on the Internet before there was a World Wide Web, and on the World Wide Web since the days of the CERN line ,mode browser, so I've been at it for a while.
