A quick search turned up 6 trade journals for waste management. My favorite title: "Waste Today Magazine" (the antithesis of "Carpe Diem Magazine").

Probably no one enjoys writing about sludge (the political kind particularly), but people who are enmired need to know how to deal with the muck, and the fact that journalists can write about garbage without becoming besmirched themselves is a most helpful inspiration.
