A fascinating and complex analysis as always.

A zillion years ago, I bought a cut-out record of Mendocino by The Sir Douglas Quintet. Inside the sealed album, however, was another record on the same label, JLL's "Another Place Another Time," which featured "What Made Milwaukee Famous Has Made a Loser Out of Me."

I listened to it a few times but didn't care for it--it seemed laughable to my untrained ears.

Now it's apparently highly regarded. I'd probably like that album much more today.

You may know this, but Jerry Lee had two famous cousins who also played the piano, one of whom had an even more sordid history.

I would say something like "Rest in peace," but I doubt JLL would want that.
