8000 Armed Racist Accountants Are Roaming Our Streets
The good news: That’s not true. The bad news….
8000 armed racist policemen are patrolling our streets.
That’s based on a fabricated estimate by Donald Trump that 99% of cops are good cops. So if 1% of the 800,000 policemen in America are the so-called bad apples, we’re up against 8,000 rogue cops any time we protest peacefully or sit on our porch or sleep in our bed. The number is probably much higher, though.
That’s the impression you get when you read about the three Wilmington NC policemen who were fired recently after being caught on a police camera discussing how they were eagerly looking forward to slaughtering black citizens in a civil war. There are 228 policemen on the Wilmington force, so the three “bad apples” make up only 1.3%, but it’s hard to believe they’re the only racist cops there.
But it’s okay, right, because the 99% (or slightly fewer) are there to protect us from the bad apples?
Like the Atlanta police officers (number unknown) who called in sick last week to protest the murder charge against the officer who killed Rayshard Brooks. Or the police foundation that paid each of the “sick officers” a $500 reward for not showing up to work.
